Linda
‘Linda’ is a five-piece tribute band from Melbourne specialising in songs from the 1970s that you secretly love but were always too afraid to ask for.
The band formed in Melbourne in the early 2000s taking their name from Paul McCartney’s late wife.
“We were all playing in different original bands at the time and gravitated towards each other through our mutual love of seventies soft-rock and power pop,” bass player James Batchelor said. “Linda is an extension of our friendship and enduring passion for this music.”
Linda recently packed out the Thornbury Local on NYE with Stevie Nicks and John Travolta lookalikes spilling out onto the street.
“They were remarkable scenes. Linda created an atmosphere the likes of which we’d never seen at the bar before. It was an amazing night,” owner Christian Bianco said.
Fresh from that triumph Linda are now coming to a discothèque near you. So don’t be no jive turkey, and get on down and boogie to Fleetwood Mac, Supertramp, ELO, The Cars, Wings, Tom Petty, Linda Ronstadt, The Doobie Brothers, and more.
